Dr Cunningham has over 20 years experience in humanitarian and development aid. His recent research and operational support topics have included operational planning for durable solution for South Sudanese refugees; research on shrinking civil society space; research on security management in INGO/NNGO partnerships; proposal planning on implementing the Humanitarian Ombudsman concept; operational research on migration patterns from West Africa to Europe; and the evaluation of WASH programming for the Rohingya in Bangladesh.
